"My two-year-old son and daughter
are still talking about Mark Brown and it's been nearly a year
since he took their photos! He was so relaxed with my toddlers
that they thought he was just a new friend coming over to play. Before
the shoot, Mark took a lot of time and care discussing the locations
and flavor of the images we wanted. After the shoot, he presented
his work in person in a fabulous slide show set to music. It
was beautiful and we came away with a very memorable holiday card."

Your experience with Mark and his staff is one-of-a-kind. They will guide
you through the process from start to finish; from what to wear in your
session, to where to hang your framed artwork in your home. They guarantee
the process to be unique, fun and stress free. Please visit our
frequently asked questions page for more information.
pre consultation:
Mark welcomes his potential clients to set up a complimentary consultation,
either in person or over the phone, to discuss their goals and
expectations. This is an opportunity to meet Mark and learn more about
his unique style, and an opportunity for Mark and his staff to learn
more about your family.
the session:
Sessions are similar to a fun play date for your children, and a
time to relax for grown ups. The best way to prepare for a photo session
is – not to prepare! The words “cheese” and “smile” are
not allowed when working with Mark because he is looking for natural
expressions and he wants the experience to be as organic as possible.
the viewing:
Within two weeks, you will be presented with a slide show of the
best images from your session personally selected by Mark. Using
his creative eye, he will suggest different framing ideas. Mark always
has several ideas when it comes to each of his client's pictures; for
some he suggests one large individual photo and other times he suggests
several images grouped together as a personality study.
framing and albums:
Our goal is to create artwork that will be included in your family
for many generations. All work is signed by Mark and is completely
archival. Mark has his staff complete all the framing, matting and
design elements for each of their sessions. There are also many custom
albums and greeting cards to choose from.
pricing:
The basic session fee in the Chicago studio starts at $225 and increases
based on location changes. Each framed piece and album is custom created
and his staff will be happy to discuss the pricing structure in person
or over the phone.
