"A good portrait should tell a story, it should evoke emotion within us - joy, sorrow, love and wonder." --Mark Brown
Mark's portrait style is timeless, classic and whimsical. He captures personality and relationships. Children are never asked to sit still and are photographed in a more natural manner. Props or themes are rarely used.
Anyone can learn how to use a camera and lighting, but Mark believes that unique photography
is accomplished by developing chemistry and synergy with people.
He credits much of his photography success to his theatre background.
He is a graduate of the Second City training program in Chicago.
"Improvisation taught me how to be myself and also get people to open up to me."
Mark is often asked to lecture about the art of photographing children.
